Your hair is a type 2 or wavy if it curls in the “S” shape while laying flat against the scalp. Often confused with type 3 hair. Sticks close to the scalp.

Usually straightens out when wet, but as it dries, it absorbs moisture and contracts to the curly state.

Type 3A -Very loosely curled -shiny with big curls -the shorter the straighter it gets -the longer, the more defined curls Examples of type 3A hair -Julia Roberts, and Susan Sarandon B. Type 3B -Medium amount of curl -from bouncy ringlets to corkscrew -you could find both sub-types on the same head Examples of type 3B hair -Nicole Kidman, Shirley Temple, and Cree Summer
