A Fond Farewell To “Chara”

January 2002 First day on the job. It was love at first sight!

Gypsy became my best buddy.

Charlette put me right to work. Sniffing lockers and garbage cans, it’s so much fun.

I got to be the “Star of the Show” as Charlette tells the students to make good choices.

A command from Charlette to “sit” and that’s exactly what I do. I’m a Good Girl!

Then, Gypsy retired in 2009 & she’s been “whooping it up” ever since…

…and Kaki joined our team soon after. I’ll have to show her the “ropes”

We quickly became fast friends. She fit right in.

When Charlette calls on me, I’m always ready.

I found the firecrackers. Now I get to play with my toy. I love my job!

I love meeting new friends. It means I get my belly rubbed.

If you’re wondering what I’ll be doing after retiring, well…

…I’ll be hanging with B.F.F’s in the neighborhood…

…and laying around the house chewing on my bone…
