Journey Last holiday me, my parents and our friends went for a trip to London. We didn't go with a travel agency so we managed to arrange everything by ourselves. Only my uncle could speak English so all of us relied just on him. We flew to UK by plane. The flight was quite comfortable and it took just two hours which was great. We came to the Heathrow Airport, one of the biggest one in Europe. Then we took a bus to Eastbourne in south of England where we spent the next few days. Accommodation We were groping there a bit and we couldn't find our accommodation because we got off the bus in the city centre. But the English are very kind and a few citizens helped us immediately. Our accommodation was near the sea. Even thought it was summer, the sea was really cold so it was impossible to swim there even though some local inhabitants didn't hesitate and they were swimming there. I liked the beaches being clean and tidy even though they're not the main object s for tourists. Famous London After a few days spent on the south we moved to the capital city London. This time we traveled by trains and I was really surprised with their cleanness. We spent just three days in London, which I found really short in such a beautiful city. We were a bit dissatisfied with our accommodation there because in London there is a busy night life and our window faced the main street so we could hear every car passing by. During our stay in London the typical rainy weather didn't miss us, but we didn't care about it and we still liked it there. We also visited a lot of sights, for example Tower Bridge, London Eye, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey or St. Paul's Cathedral. Our accommodation included only breakfast but we weren't hungry because of fast foods at every corner and there were also a lot of kiosks with British souvenirs and I couldn't even resist to buy one little Tower Bridge. I was really surprised of diversity of visitors in London. I couldn´t hear t only English but also French, German, Spanish and we met a lot of Chinamen with their typical cameras but we also met some Czechs who helped us with directions of our way. Delay On our departure day we hurried up a lot. We wanted use up the most of our time in London so we were going sightseeing by the last moment. On our way to the airport we went by wrong subway and we found ourselves at the opposite side of the city. So we had to catch a taxi and we hoped everything will be ok. We were so lucky because the flight was delayed for two hours so we were there in time. I really liked our trip to London and I definitely recommend it to everyone.
