Vote YES, Gimme Shelter! The adorable animals featured in our advertising campaign, created by Andy Allen and Shannon Light, won the hearts and minds of the voters on May 3!
November 8, 2004 The ground-breaking for the new Dallas Animal Services animal shelter Monday was a picture-perfect event! The weather couldn't have been better, the media turned out in droves, and many, many city officials attended, including Mayor Laura Miller. Andrea Allen, chairman of the Dallas Animal Shelter Commission, thanked past and present members of the Commission for all their hard work toward the new 57,000-square-foot city shelter. She also credited the Metroplex Animal Coalition for helping raise funds and awareness.
