Sometimes good dogs find out no one cares…

They get dumped in a shelter. They get dumped in a shelter. Put in a cage. Scared & all alone.

Some dogs never get out.

Some dogs hear the words… “FOSTER FAMILY” And find hope.

This is Carmel. When she heard the word “Foster” she was When she heard the word “Foster” she was in an animal shelter in North Carolina. Only four months old. Some dogs came and never left. She was in a “High-Kill” shelter.

Some people got together. They knew they couldn’t save them all, but they had to do something. but they had to do something. So they formed a chain of Love. So they formed a chain of Love. From the High Kill Shelters of North Carolina to the Jersey Shore

Rescue people came… Carmel was packed into a car with other dogs. All they had was trust and hope. Their journey began… Castle of Dreams

That’s how Carmel came to our house. She was very tired after her long trip.

She met her Foster Family…  There was Gizzmo who wasn’t thrilled to have her here. Elvis made sure Carmel only got close once… Nobody messes with Elvis. 

Then she met Halston Halston was happy to see a new friend. She shared her toys and her favorite couch.

She looked like a little Peanut So that’s what we called her.

She liked to cuddle… And nap in the sun…

And we fell in love… How could we resist?

One day an came… It was time for our little Peanut to go to her fur-ever home. We cried.

But then some good news… Peanut was going to the same house as her brother Jackson. Jackson and Peanut. Jackson and Peanut.

The Foster Family It’s hard to let go when something warm and furry crawls into your heart. It’s hard to let go when something warm and furry crawls into your heart. It hurts and you cry. Rusty comes up next week… Rusty and his brother were found wandering on a dark country road. Just three months old.
