The Superlative A superlative is used to express that something is the most/least or best/worst. EJEMPLO Sr. McGrath was voted “Most Likely to Succeed.”

The Superlative Sometimes the superlative in English is the “-est” form of an adjective. ADJECTIVE COMPARATIVE SUPERLATIVE good better best big bigger biggest

There are two sets of superlatives we will learn: The Superlative 1. MOST/LEAST To say that someone or something is the “most” or “least,” use: definite article (el/la/los/las) noun más/ menos adjective La foto de mi familia es la posesión más importante. The photo of my family is the most important possession.

The Superlative 2. BEST/WORST There are two sets of superlatives we will learn: To say that someone or something is the “best” or “worst,” use: definite article (el/la/los/las) mejor(es)/ peor(es) adjective Rojo y azul son los mejores colores para mi dormitorio. Red and blue are the best colors for my bedroom.
