 Fourteen year old Eragon goes hunting in a series of mountains called the Spine. There he finds a mysterious stone that is actually a dragon egg. A few days later the dragon Saphira hatches for Eragon. Eragon and Saphira fly to the Varden where he can finally be safe from the king. Eragon plans to go train with the elves. He is the only Dragon Rider free from Galbatorix. Will he slay King Galbatorix from his rain of terror or will he fall in battle?
