Listening 1 Academic life Around the World Look at the people in the photo. What are they ? What’s their relation to one another? Think of some of your close friends. How did you meet them? What types of information are important to get on the first day of a new class? Part 1 What do you say when you meet someone for the first time? What body language or gestures do you use when you meet someone new? For example, do you hug or shake hands? What body language or gestures do you use when you greet a good friend ? A classmate? A co-worker? A roommate( new word for you) a friend that shares your room .
