Education in Poland First First – Children start their education in kindergarten (they are five or six years old). Next Next – They go to 1st form of primary school (szkoła podstawowa) and finish it when they are 12 years old. Teenagers pass the exams and go to lower secondary school (gimnazjum). The last school is a High School liceum (3 years) or technikum (4 years). Both of them end with a maturity examination – matura. University*. Marie Skłodowska Curie. She was a physicist and chemist who was born in Poland. She was the first woman, person honored with two Nobel Prizes -in physics and chemistry and a pioneer in the field of radioactivity. Lech Wałęsa He was groundbreaking person in Polish politics in period PRL. Lech was a leader and co-founded Solidarity ( Solidarność ), won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1983.

Mariusz Lewandowski Ozorków has its very own famous people as well :) Mariusz Lewandowski He is the World Champion and a repeated European Champion in traditional karate, who lives in Ozorków.
