The Observatory The Observatory for the fight against pedophilia and child pornography: o Established by law on February 2006 o Aim: to acquire and to monitor data and information related to the activities of all the public authorities to prevent and fight the phenomenon of child sexual abuse and exploitation

The Web Site of the Observatory 2010: beginning to work to the Web site Specific attention to the topic of sexual violence against children The objective is ambitious: the creation of a European Web Portal that will represent a point of reference for the topic of the prevention and fight of sexual violence against children

Objectives Informing professionals and citizens about the Observatory’s topics Training users on how to know, prevent and eliminate violence against children Involve professionals’ networks in order to: o share and promote best practices against sexual abuse on children o set a common virtual place where professionals can create documents, share experiences and communicate in real time on the topics
