THERE IS MUCH TO BE ENCOURAGED BY!

ENCOURAGEMENT AT 160 TH CHURCH OF CHRIST

Things that have encouraged me about this church: Young people that love the Lord. (Matt. 5:14) – Show great interest in spiritual things – Bring their friends to church – Young women wanting to take part in teaching – Young people that offer encouragement People who have become Christians – People have studied their Bibles and had good influence from loved ones and committed themselves to Christ in a scriptural baptism. (Acts 2:38; Rom. 6) – People who have repented of wrongs – The gospel still holds the power of God to salvation and hearts are still receptive and willing to hear the gospel call. (Rom. 1:16)

Things that have encouraged me about this church: Many visitors – people are still interested in God The friendliness of this congregation (1 Pet. 4:8-9) – Warm welcomes – Genuine joy to see others

Things that have encouraged me about this church: New members – People who are active and involved in teaching and working with this congregation and taking on different leadership roles. Newborns! – Gen. 1:28 – Many young families and new parents that plan to bring their children up in the discipline and admonition of the Lord.

Things that have encouraged me about this church: Christians that pray for one another. (James 5:13-16) – People in difficult times and people are praying. – I don’t know how many times I’ve heard prayers made on my behalf in regard just to teaching Comments in Bible class – Many comments from many members – People who have questions and offer corrections!!! (Acts 17:1) People dedicated to making sure this congregation is strong and headed in the right direction! (2 Cor. 11:28) – People concerned about improvement. – People that care!

Things that have encouraged me about this church: People who over and over again volunteer to encourage others. (Gal. 6) – Some people raise their hand every time. – This has led to progress and results. People remaining faithful and growing! (Heb. 6:1-2) – Many have taken opportunity to serve in new ways! – Many who have encountered very discouraging situations and continue to do what’s right! – Many people with aches and pains and physical difficulties that just don’t let it hold them back!!! – Many older members that continue to be active and grow

There is much to be encouraged by! Take time to focus on what God has blessed us to be encouraged by – Fuel for the soul Let us continue to do these things that we might be an encouragement to one another – Continue to be active! – Continue to remain faithful – Continue to grow
