Using the with adjectives Think of it as describing the object without saying the object Which CD do you like? I like the Bon Jovi one. ¿Cual disco compacto te gusta? Me gusta el de Bon Jovi.

Just put the DOP and then the adjective The blue dog= perro = el (because it is masculine and singular) Then add the adjective what kind of dog is it? BLUE el azul!!
