Africa and the World Cup

This lesson/resource looks at the teams that are taking part and asks you to research those countries. It also asks you to critically think about your findings, comparing them to UK statistics. The 2014 World Cup begins on the 12 th June. As football fever grips the world, it is important to connect with the African countries that are taking part.

Match the country to the flag Nigeria Meaning: The green stripes represent Nigeria's agriculture industry and its luscious vegetation. The white stripe represents the desire for peace and unity within the country.
