About myself: I have been with TDIC since December We added JobBOSS with Data Collection in November I signed up to be the Detroit User Group leader not too long after we installed the software. Immediately purchased what was then called Quality Toolkit now it is UniPoint. I use JobBOSS all day in my normal processes and customize whatever I can to make it work for our world.

TDIC was established in 1981 by Tom D’Andreta in his basement. We are a cut and sew facility that manufactures Robot Covers for automotive paint facilities. – As well as Aerospace, Medical, Recreational, Industrial and do custom work We strive to be the best and provide quality product to our customers. We outshine our competitors with our customer service and give the best price possible. We have the largest and most innovative design team in the industry.

We started out using manual time entry and excel production schedules to determine our costs. Worked for a while until our schedule became thousands of lines and we did not feel we were the most efficient we could be. This prompted us to look into a new software. – Decision was JobBOSS in 2001 with Data Collection

Using Data Collection to track our time: – Now we can calculate our labor more efficiently to provide the best pricing possible. – We can offer price breaks on quantities and not one standard price. – Determine which work center has been overloaded on jobs to ensure no bottle necks. – Know who worked on what job if we have any concerns or questions – Ability to enter Floor Notes to a job to explain any deviations from the schedule.

Using UniPoint to track our Quality: – TDIC is ISO 9001:2008 and 13485:2003 certified. – We can provide reports to the ISO auditor when requested. – Provide details on any non-conforming part that a customer has notified us of, then send them a final report on our resolution. – Track consistent concerns on the floor to determine where there might be a need to adjust the process. – Track maintenance schedules on equipment. – Perform internal audits on our processes and keep documents in one location. – Many other options are available in the latest version of UniPoint.
