But wait, there’s more… Report Groups before MR service pack RU5 cannot have a user in more than one group. Result: The user sees NO reports, not all they are assigned to. Scripts are available for pre-RU5 users to search for users in > 1 group. Failed MR report notifications can be cleaned out of the notification window. A script is available. RU5 defaults the reports to the web viewer. The option must be changed per each workstation. A registry edit is required to change this default. The Legacy (xxx-curr) database is still required if you use multi-currency. This is due to change in RU6 (June, 2013). The Legacy (xxx-curr) database has MOST but not all of the formatting fixes for MR. The service account required for MR installation should to be a domain admin. Minimum requirements for non-domain service accounts include 1) Domain User, 2) Explicit, full access to the MR program directory. Changing from the Legacy to DDM databases is time consuming. Yes, a script is available to help with that also. Some MR installations may fail if the *.ldf and *.mdf files are not in the same directory. This is still under research… Segment names in MR should match GP. Normally you change GP account format, but you can also make the change in MR with this script. (update ReportCompanySegment where…) in the MR database.
Questions?… Surprise…Document Imaging, a very Quick Look. Formal presentation to come.
