5 Artificial Intelligence - 2ºBach Real life? There are many situations in real life which are shown in the film. We can see that all robots, which are invented by humans, are chased because they are different to the rest of population. In the real life many people are pursed only because of being different to the majority of people, like Jewish who have been chased by Nazis because they believed that they were superior. Another example is that some people want to be frozen before dying until a cure will be created. In the film, Martin was frozen in order to preserve his body until a cure for his illness was found. Nowadays scientists are creating robots more and more similar to human beings. In the film robots look like humans as they wanted to create the perfect robot with feelings.

6 Artificial Intelligence - 2ºBach The most important memory we keep The most important memory we keep of the film is when David fell into the water after discovering that his real parents were an assembly line of robots. He though that he was unique, but when he went to Manhattan, he found that there were "copies" of him --he was actually another copy. When David left his electronic body falling from a skyscraper, it seems to be the end. There was no reason to keep "alive", suffering such big pain, despite the fact that he was a robot and he shouldn't have feelings. But, in the depth of the sea, David came across his dear Blue Fairy, the one who would save him from that artificial life by becoming him into a real boy. The way David kept day by day asking her for his wish is amazing, as he didn't stop doing it until his batteries switched off.

9 Artificial Intelligence - 2ºBach Main ideas In the film, we can see several main ideas: An evolution of the society that has been changed by new technologies which have arrived to the limit that mankind depends on machines mainly. This situation makes the humanity become worse until total disappearance. Robots are denied by the society. “Orga” (that’s the way humans are called) don’t accept “mechas” (mechanic beings) because they are robots. Besides they consider them not to be good for the society. This may be cause so they are different, they can’ t die and because they are actually machines. Apart from that people are afraid of being replace by them. we can see this in the film the same with Martin. Another important point is that robots are able to have feelings. This is considered weird by the society, because humans think that the feelings only belong to them and, as we can see, Those human don’t accept them in the society since they can’t imagine a robot being like a real human.

Artificial Intelligence - 2ºBach 10 Personal opinion We have found this film interesting, as it has made us think about our nearly future. Firstly, we learnt that scientific improvements might be dangerous because it’s an aspect that the humanity doesn’t control very well, so it could end in tragedy and the population could disappear. Besides, the human beings can do whatever they want. In the film, they get to create a robot which has feelings. However, we think that, although they are only machines, we shouldn’t play with their emotions. The intention of the film is advising us that playing to be God might have serious consequences so we may be careful with what we do. The problem is that we are longing for imitate our own intelligence and after getting this, we want to overcome it, which could be dangerous. That is because our creations could control us, instead of being controlled by us. To sum up, we think that the society of Now shouldn’t be aware of the situation in which it has put the planet. We try to hide the situation, but someday, in a very near future, all of us will have to pay for our errors.
