The IST Programme Information Society Technologies Programme (IST ) 6 Who can participate Any organisation from: l EU (+JRC) or associated country (normal funding)  European third or Mediterranean partner country  other third country (if substantial added value)  countries with agreement (under agreement)  International organisations  = Funding exceptional (duly justified, essential for results) Consortia of at least two legal entities (from EU or one from EU and one from Assoc Cy) in most activities

The IST Programme Information Society Technologies Programme (IST ) 7 Funding Models Full Cost Reasonable flat rate overhead: 50% Funding On request for all organisations Actual overhead: 50% Funding If analytical accounting enables actual overhead calculation (view of Commission)

The IST Programme Information Society Technologies Programme (IST ) 8 Funding Models Additional Cost 20% flat rate overhead: 100% Funding If no adequate analytical accounting (view of Commission) and no request for full cost and flat rate overhead ( in R&D and demonstration) In concerted actions, thematic networks, etc.

The IST Programme Information Society Technologies Programme (IST ) 9 Intellectual property right (IPR) EU Funding 50% or less: IPR belongs to the contractors EU Funding between 50% and 100%: IPR negotiated between Commission and contractors EU Funding 100% of total eligible cost IPR belongs to the Commission as general rule
