Objectives: ● Understand the purpose of a Mid-Year Review ● Understand the requirements of a Mid-Year Review

Preparing for mid-interval review: Is it just for summary year teachers?

Purpose of the Mid-Year Review…... ** Talk about the progress that has been made on SLOs & PPGs The meeting should be an opportunity to touch base with peers or evaluators who can: ● support educator’s learning ● help educators understand what their data is telling them ● assist educator’s progress toward meeting SLO goals and offer new perspectives (as identified in DPI Deep Dive Module-Mid Year & Teacher Process Manual)

Requirements for Mid-Year Review Educators: ● Complete the 8 tasks/activities identified for Mid-Year in Step 4: Educator Deep Dive Module (Middle of the Year)Step 4: Educator Deep Dive Module (Middle of the Year) Evaluators: ● Meet with the Summary Year educator for a Mid-Interval Review to discuss progress and adjustments to EEP * Request Revision” of SLO/PPG to reopen for the teacher to submit mid- interval data prior to Mid-Interval Review

Educator Practices to support Mid-year Review preparation: ● Review benchmark/formative SLO assessment data ● Develop key summary statements about what the SLO data is telling you ● Be able to state what work you have done on your PPG ● Think of questions you would like to ask your evaluator ● Prepare to suggest changes (if any) to your SLO/PPG and supporting reasons
