IR saying “to go:” Why is this verb so weird? It is an irregular verb. How do I change it? It confuses me. If you look at the forms, they are the endings from ESTAR. All you do is add a “v.” Look: -oy -amos -as -ais -a -an

estoy estamos estás estáis está están voy vamos vas vais va van Feeling better?

“Future Words & Phrases” Hoy = today Esta noche = tonight Mañana = tomorrow Este fin de semana = this weekend Este verano = this summer La próxima semana = next week El próximo mes= next month El próximo año= next year El viernes/ El sábado = On Friday/ On Saturday

The future words are used with a form of Ir (to go) + a before a verb that still ends in “r.” This way we can say whatever we want to say. I. First make a sample sentence. I am going to eat ice cream. Voy a comer el helado. We are going to study. Vamos a estudiar.

II. Now add one of the future words or phrases: I am going to eat ice cream tomorrow. Voy a comer el helado mañana. We are going to study tonight. Vamos a estudiar esta noche.

Let’s recap!
