NEWSLETTER The Georgian Association for Quality (GAQ) celebrated the European Quality Week from November, 2014 in Georgia. The European Quality Week is the annual campaign dedicated to demonstration of quality importance and advantages focused on raising awareness of the society. Surfacing the topics on quality and planning the related activities is vitally significant for Georgia at the moment. Furthermore, the country is fronting the important challenges connected with the EU-Georgia Association Agreement.

The Georgian Association for Quality signed the Memorandum with the Technical University of Georgia on the first day of the Week. The document is oriented on the future cooperation and exchanging of experiences of the sides. The “ Q-Mark ” certified companies were involved in the European Quality Week with high enthusiasm. They offered the special sales and Samplings to the customers during the whole week. The World Quality Day is celebrated on the second Thursday of the months of November as in the whole Europe.

The Georgian traditional restaurant that meets the high standards of quality hosted the reception and ceremony of granting of certificates “ Quality Mark ” dedicated to the World Quality Day. The four local Georgian companies were certified at the event.

The event of reception was decorated with the photos of social action. In the mentioned social action that was held before the European Quality Week official launch the Georgian sportsmen, writers, painters, designers and the representatives of cultural sphere were involved.

The President of the Georgian Association for Quality conducted the seminar for the students of the Caucasus University in the frame of the European Quality Week. The audience got acquainted with the novelties of quality sphere, existing problems in Georgia and the future plans of the Georgian Association for Quality.

The European Quality Week was finalized with the social action. The “Quality Mark” certified companies and the members of the Georgian Association for Quality gave their products to the asylum of elderly people The activities of the European Quality Week had the full media coverage – TV, newspapers, information agencies and etc… The Georgian Association for Quality continues its active work. Our aim is to raise the requirement on quality in Georgia and that the quality to become the top priority for the society of this country. The Georgian Association for Quality cares for the quality future of the whole Georgian society.
