Help for Haiti Project

-Working through Debbie Lucien at Hosean International Ministries at Hosean International Ministries -This helps send children to camp in the summer in the summer -The camp provides food for the children because most cannot afford food because most cannot afford food -Feeding them costs $15 per child for a week of overnight camp for a week of overnight camp -For this year the funds would need to be in Haiti by May or June Haiti by May or June Help For Haiti Project

My Story

Because of His Mercy... *Paul forces us to look back: -In view of God’s mercy... = In light of all God has done for us... *And challenges us to move ahead: -Here’s what you should do... = Here’s how you should live now as a Christian

Because of His Mercy......Give your life fully to Him (Rom 12:1) -Look at all He’s done for you -He gave you His best *He wants all of you - Surrender -Align your will, mind, emotions, time, possessions, etc around Him -What are you unwilling to let go of? *Embrace what He’s done for you -Accept it and live it -This is the best we could do for Him -It’s what He finds acceptable; its our way of truly worshiping Him

Because of His Mercy......Stop Conforming (Rom 12:2) *Don’t allow yourself to be molded by the pleasures of this life *Instead, allow Him to change your inward thinking and your outward behavior *How: -Cooperate with the Holy Spirit -Meditate on His Word *Why: This is how we understand Him and become more like Him

Because of His Mercy......Experience JOY by: *Knowing that who you are, where you belong, and what you’re supposed to do is now grounded in your relationship with Christ *Figuring out how you (who He made you to be) can serve Him *So that you can serve others His way: -With true love and compassion -With enthusiasm -With humility

Because of His Mercy......Bless others (Rom 12:14-21) This means to desire God’s favor on someone *Paul says to do this to those oppose us *This is how we look most like Christ: -He did the same; Father forgive them -We need to forgive, care for, and try to identify even with those who oppose *Be careful: -We will want to repay evil with evil -Instead, conquer evil by doing good
