Can you identify them?

If I could give myself a talent I don’t have, I would choose to be able to draw for many reasons. First of all, I really can’t draw at all. My daughters always ask me to draw things for them and then they can’t tell what I drew. If I could draw I wouldn’t have to resort to computer graphics and clip art books to find pictures I need. It would take less time if I could just draw them. Finally, I think it would come in handy to be able to illustrate stories that I like to write. Learning to draw would really be a great idea!

Is this a perfect power paragraph? Did the writer indent? ____ yes ____ no Does the power 1 state the topic and focus the reader? ____ yes ____ no Are there at least 4 power 2s? ____ yes ____ no Is the power 1 interesting? ____ yes ____ no Does each power 2 support the power 1? ___ yes ___ no Is there a power 3? ___ yes ___ no Does the power 3 restate the power 1 in a new way? ___ yes ___ no Does the power 3 conclude the paragraph? ___ yes ___ no

If I could give myself a talent I don’t have, I would want to be able to sing because I always embarrass myself when I sing in public. I don’t know anything about singing, so it would be fun to learn. I think I could probably take singing lessons at the music studio in town. Hopefully it wouldn’t cost too much money. I would like to be able to sing.

Is this a perfect power paragraph? _______ yes ______ no If you answered YES number the handful of things that make it perfect in the paragraph. If you answered NO, circle everything that is wrong in the paragraph.

One talent I would love to have is to be able to play the flute. I use to play the flute, but then I broke my arm and never played again. I think the flute is a pretty instrument. My aunt plays the flute, and my uncle plays the trumpet. My uncle even plays in a band. His trumpet sure is loud. Playing the flute really would be a great talent to have.

Is this a perfect power paragraph? Explain your answer.  Didn’t indent  3 of the power 2s are off topic – don’t support the power 1  “My aunt plays the flute, and my uncle plays the trumpet.”  “My uncle even plays in a band.”  “His trumpet sure is loud.”

UGHHHH!!!!! None of the paragraphs were perfect! Can you write a perfect one? If you could change one thing about the weather where you live what would it be? Your prompt is:
