The Earth, Sol (The Sun), Luna (The Moon) Facts and Information You may not have known By: Charles Kelly and Alex Endruschat

Chapter 1 Our Moon

Our Moon, Luna will seem MASSIVE when I say it’s 14 Our Moon, Luna will seem MASSIVE when I say it’s 14.6 million miles, But when you think that weight depends on gravity which depends on mass and you weigh 1/6th you weight on Earth on Luna, that suddenly becomes tiny. For instance if you weigh 60 pounds on Earth and you go to Luna you weigh 10 pounds!

What would my dream moon vacation spot look like? You Well, I wouldn’t get too exited. The best scenery they’ll have is Mountains, Craters, and if you’re lucky maybe an extinct volcano or a lava tube. But don’t even try to take off your glove if you can’t grab it with your glove! The vacuum of space will suck all the air out! ”What about the atmosphere?” you may ask. Long story short ,there is not enough gravity for one.

So more about my dream moon vacation. Where would my water come from So more about my dream moon vacation. Where would my water come from? How much could I have? You certainty wouldn’t have to worry about water on your “moon vacation.” There’s lots. Like 158 billion gallons type lots. Don’t worry about your hip space umbrella fading ether. Things erode about .0000004 inches a year. So unless you plan on staying there for 4 million years you need not worry.

What If I get space vertigo. Could I get back down What If I get space vertigo? Could I get back down? And how long could I stay? Well you could technically go back anytime you want, but assuming you want to go home, you’ll have to wait at the most 27.332 days, but you don’t have to worry being on the wrong side of the moon, because its orbit is synchronized with its rotation, but you will have to worry about tides caused by the moons gravity.

Chapter 2 Earth

Wait, wait, wait, wait. I think I know about my own planet. Well do you know that Earth is about 259,333,411,782 cubic miles, and that there are Islands, Inlets, Straits, Deltas, Rivers, Lakes, Valleys, Glaciers, Volcanoes, Mountains, Deserts, Canyons, Plateaus, Basins, and Oceans.

Oh really? What else is new? There is windstorms such as tornadoes and hurricanes, earthquakes, and tsunamis. 70% of the Earth’s surface is water. Weathering and Erosion are mainly made of wind and water.

Tell me about time units on Earth. Well, one day is twenty-four hours. One year is 365.25 days. And the seasons are caused by the angle of Earth.

Chapter 3 The Sun

How big is the Sun? The Sun is 864,938 miles in diameter. 605,456.6 miles or 70% is hydrogen, 155,688.84 miles or 18% is helium, 12,974.07 miles or 1.5% is nitrogen and oxygen, 4,339 miles or .5% is other elements. All of that mass creates over 20 Gs in gravitational pressure.

Man it is hot over here! How hot is it exactly? It’s about 5505°C. That’s the hottest place in the solar system!

Is there weather on the sun? Solar flares are the most common type of weather. They are caused by magnetic storms colliding. Solar tornadoes are also common and, they can be the size of Earth!

How long is the day and the year on The Sun? The day, since it’s not solid, the core takes 27 days to rotate, and on the surface it takes 35 days to rotate. A year on the sun takes 220 million years to revolve around the center of The Milky Way.

How does the Sun effect Earth? Well, it effects Earth by releasing heat and light and makes it warmer and lighter.

Thanks For Watching!!! Touch the bulldogs nose to start The Earth’s revolution around The Sun! #scienceisamazingandsoarebulldogs 
