Let’s… Review vocabulary! Yay!

What’s the difference between theater and theatre? Glad you asked… Theater is the building in which plays are performed. Theatre is the writing or performing of plays, as well as the study of the art form.

Parts of the stage! Upstage is the area of the stage furthest from the audience. Downstage is the area of the stage closest to the audience. Stage left is the actor’s left when he is facing the audience. Stage right is the actor’s right when he is facing the audience. Stage LeftStage Right

What’s the difference between a dialogue and a monologue? The amount of characters speaking, silly! A monologue is a long speech spoken by one person, typically revealing feelings or motives. A dialogue is a conversation between two or more characters onstage.
