To Know God To Love God To Serve God

To Know God To Love God To Serve God

For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you. (Ro 12:3ff)

Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others (Ro 12:3ff)

We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is prophesying let him use it in proportion to his faith.

1. I enjoy expressing God’s truths verbally 2. I demonstrate my love by meeting the practical needs of others 3. I enjoy involving myself in detailed study of the Bible 4. When I go through hard times or suffering, I do not mind because I know it will bring me to new levels of spiritual maturity 0 = never 1= sometimes 2= usually 3= always

5. I enjoy giving my personal things to help someone’s ministry 6. I have the ability to organize tasks within a job or ministry so as to produce efficiency 7. I share deeply in other people’s sadness 8. It is easy to detect if a person is a true Christian because true Christians show forth their Christianity by the outward evidences of a godly lifestyle 0 = never 1= sometimes 2= usually 3= always

9. I like manual projects. I enjoy using my hands in work (could be anything from setting tables to mechanics) 10. Once I believe something, it takes nothing less than solid facts to change my mind. An emotional appeal will not change my mind 11. When people come to me for advice, I have the ability to help and encourage them 0 = never 1= sometimes 2= usually 3= always

12. When I give money or things to the Lord’s work, I do it cheerfully 13. I enjoy coordinating (or administrating) activities 14. I have a strong desire to comfort and show mercy to people with emotional problems 15. I don’t beat around the bush when I talk to people, I just tell it like it is 0 = never 1= sometimes 2= usually 3= always

16. As long as I am helping others, I can work long hours with very little need for rest 17. I do not believe something just because the pastor, evangelist, or someone else has said it. I investigate and validate truth for myself 18. I have the ability to lay out detailed steps of action for others so they can reach new levels of spiritual maturity 0 = never 1= sometimes 2= usually 3= always

19. I have a tender heart and give to almost anyone who has a need 20. I have the ability to survey a task and understand the total scope of the job 21. I have a great deal of sympathy for people in emotional distress 22. I have delivered messages of judgment and repentance which I believe have come from God (not necessarily in the preaching mode, but perhaps just talking with someone) 0 = never 1= sometimes 2= usually 3= always

23. If I am called upon to help someone with a physical need, I do it cheerfully, even if my part seems small and insignificant 24. I am meticulous in my study of the Bible or other things I may be researching; each detail is important 25. I have the ability to draw answers from the Bible for human affliction and suffering (for individuals, not world problems) 26. I enjoy giving financial help to people in ministries, and often do it anonymously 0 = never 1= sometimes 2= usually 3= always

27. I have the ability to administrate, organize, and facilitate projects to accomplish a group goal 28. I try to help people overcome their emotional stress as soon as possible 0 = never 1= sometimes 2= usually 3= always
