Presentation transcript:

My Saviour The LORD is with you. Nothing is impossible with God. Let it be.

The LORD The LORD God made the earth and the heavens (Genesis 2:4) The LORD said to Abram, "I will make you into a great nation and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.“ (Genesis 12:1-3) On Mount Sinai the LORD said to Moses "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. "You shall have no other gods before me. (Exodus 20:2-3) The LORD says “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.“ (Jeremiah 29:13-14) The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom (Psalm 111:10) The LORD is with you; Nothing is impossible with God; Let it be

Fear the Lord The angel said to Abraham “Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son." (Genesis 22:12) The midwives, however, feared God and did not do what the king of Egypt had told them to do; they let the boys live. (Exodus 1:17) And when the Israelites saw the great power the LORD displayed against the Egyptians, the people feared the LORD and put their trust in him and in Moses his servant. (Exodus 14:31) The LORD is with you; Nothing is impossible with God; Let it be

26 In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, 27 to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary. 28 The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favoured! The Lord is with you." 29 Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30 But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favour with God. 31 You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob for ever; his kingdom will never end." 34 "How will this be," Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?" 35 The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. 36 Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month. 37 For nothing is impossible with God." 38 "I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "May it be to me as you have said." Then the angel left her. The LORD is with you; Nothing is impossible with God; Let it be

The LORD is with me. Nothing is impossible with God. Let it be. My Saviour

David’s Story 1 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures for ever. 2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say this -- those he redeemed from the hand of the foe, 3 those he gathered from the lands, from east and west, from north and south. 4 Some wandered in desert wastelands, finding no way to a city where they could settle. 5 They were hungry and thirsty, and their lives ebbed away. 6 Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. 7 He led them by a straight way to a city where they could settle. 8 Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men, 9 for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things. Psalm 107 The LORD is with you; Nothing is impossible with God; Let it be

Loving Kindness – Mercy - Chesed "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing LOVE to a thousand [generations] of those who love me and keep my commandments. Exodus 20:4-5 The LORD is with you; Nothing is impossible with God; Let it be

46 And Mary said: "My soul glorifies the LORD, 47 and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour, 48 for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed, 49 for the Mighty One has done great things for me – holy is his name. 50 His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation. 51 He has performed mighty deeds with his arm; he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts. 52 He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble. 53 He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty. 54 He has helped his servant Israel, remembering to be merciful 55 to Abraham and his descendants for ever, even as he said to our fathers." Thank God for his Word to us The LORD is with me; Nothing is impossible with God; Let it be: This is my story
