When you get there Cones, bibs, and Pugg Goals will be at the white boxes Go to the field that you were at last week When the players are wild it becomes really important to use names and take charge –No need to ask them if they want water send them to get water –While you are waiting for players to come back show the players there some footwork or things you like to do with the ball As players enter the dome we will send them your way once you have 6 players get going Wear your HS gear or WSC stuff if you have some

Key Coach Players Players w/ball Cones Balls

Activity 1 – Tail Tag -Introduce yourself again – My name is … -Ask the players to introduce themselves making eye contact with you -Get the players to introduce themselves again -Now let’s get the players moving -Tail tag is a tag game where every player is trying to keep their tail and get as many other tails as they can. -Play short rounds -Everybody is it -Remind players that part of the challenge is to keep your tail as much as getting everyone else's I’m going to get your tail!

Activity 2 – Can you do this? -This is a game of copy cat -Start off without ball then add it -Get the players to look at you and then show them something -Stand on one foot, do a cartwheel, tumble, lunge, squat jump, etc. -When you add the ball show simple movements -Stand on the ball with sole of foot, roll the ball with sole of foot, throw it up in air and catch it, etc. -This will work even better if you can incorporate some of the goofy things the kids do and get the other kids to try those things -The key is be observant so you can use the player’s movements that will be a fun challenge you can also call out kids movements that are not normally the leaders Can you do this?

Activity 3 – Score, Score, Score -Every player needs to be on a ball -Players need to dribble thru the goal to score -To get the cone goals you can do it or you can give each player two cones to lay out as a goal -Show players how to dribble thru the goals -Have them go one round to get the hang of it then have them play and keep score. -Let the round go 30 seconds then get them to yell out their scores now the challenge is to beat their own score by 2, 5, or whatever -The players try to beat their own score because it is self referenced and therefore doesn’t matter if they are the best or worst kid it just maters that they do -Can play a few rounds and come up with other ways to score -Dribble around cone, dribble thru and then use a pullback, etc. Go How many did you score? I scored 1 I scored 3

Activity 4 – Ship’s Across the Ocean -Get ready to sing -“Ships across ocean ships across the sea captain o’captain you can’t catch me” -Get the players on one side of the field and you in the ocean. -The player’s will sing the tune and then once they finish they will try to run across the ocean to the other side with out getting tagged -If they get tagged they join you in the ocean trying to tag the other kids -Start without a ball and then add it. -Key’s -You will have to lead the song Ships across the ocean ships across the sea. Captain o’captain you can’t catch me

Activity 5 – Play -Split the players onto two teams -Play 3v3 with a few subs -Have a pile of balls ready to go that you will send onto the field when it goes out of bounds -Each time a ball goes out of bounds or a goal is scored yell “New Ball” and distribute a new ball on the field -Can you get the ball to players that haven’t been involved -Can you distribute the ball to challenge the team that needs challenging -Players will clump together and chase the ball – that is normal -Parents will want to help collect balls have them hold onto the balls and then collect them when you run out so players get a rest New Ball

Thanks Have fun and be decisive!
