FLORIDA - Bill 1178/979 In Florida, it is lawful to capture drone images for circumstances including : 1. Professional or scholarly R&D by a person affiliated as such, 2. Airspace designated as test site range by FAA for integrating drones into national airspace, 3. As part of an US Military operation, exercise, or mission, 4. Satellite mapping, 5. Electric or natural gas utility, 6. On premise images captured with consent of individual lawfully occupying property, 7. Law enforcement agency requirements in compliance with (4),

In Florida, it is lawful to capture drone images for circumstances including: 8. State or local law enforcement authorities and employed/affiliated persons, in support of emergencies, public safety (including air quality), damage assessment, 9. A spill (suspected spill) of hazardous material, 10. Fire suppression, 11. Imminent danger rescue, 12. If the image is captured by a FL licensed real estate brokers supporting marketing, sale, or financing of real property, 13. Public real property or a person on the property, 16. An owner or operator of oil, gas, water, or other pipeline for purpose of inspection, maintenance, or repair, 17. Florida Legislative Backup Slides It is lawful to capture an image using a drone in this state: 1. Professor, employee, or student or under contract with and acting for on behalf of the institution; 2. In airspace designated as a test site or range authorized by the Federal Aviation Administration for the 94 purpose of integrating drone systems into the national airspace; 3. As part of an operation, an exercise, or a mission of any branch of the United States military; 4. If the image is captured by a satellite for the purpose of mapping; 5. If the image is captured by or for an electric or natural gas utility: a. For operations and maintenance of utility facilities for the purpose of maintaining utility system reliability and integrity; HB b. For inspecting utility facilities to determine repair, maintenance, or replacement needs during and after construction of such facilities; c. For assessing vegetation growth for the purpose of maintaining clearances on utility easements; and d. For utility facility routing and siting for the purpose of providing utility service;

6. With the consent of the individual who owns or lawfully occupies the real property captured in the image; 7. If the image is captured by a law enforcement agency in compliance with s (4); 8. If the image is captured by state or local law enforcement authorities, or a person who is under contract with or otherwise acting under the direction or on behalf of such authorities, for the purpose of: a. Surveying the scene of a catastrophe or other damage to determine whether a state of emergency should be declared, allowing for the use of drones before, during, and after manmade or natural disasters, and in exercises with local, state, and federal organizations that have emergency management roles and missions; b.
