It’s true because:  I read it on the Internet so it has to be true.  It was an from my bank.  It was on my friend’s Facebook …  I found it in a book in the library …  I found it in the encyclopedia...  My teacher said …  My mother (father, cousin etc.) said …  It looks like a really good web site.  It looks like a real web site with the company logo etc.  It must be OK because Google gave it to me.

Safety rules for the Internet  Same as safety rules in real space:  Don’t talk to strangers  Don’t do anything illegal  Know where you are and how to get home  If you do or say anything on the Internet – you should be able to publish it on the front page of the newspaper  Don’t start a fire or flame war  Don’t give out personal information  If it is too good to be true.... it’s not true  Only post pictures you would like to see on the front page of the newspaper
