Biogas Biogas is a mixture of the gases methane and carbon dioxide. It is produced by the manure and other organic wastes from industry or households pumped into the oxygen- free reactors, where it is heated to about either. 38 degrees, or about. 52 degrees. In the reactor, there is a biological degradation, which the bacteria produce biogas.

A biogasfællesanlæg receives manure from several agriculture and organic waste from industry and households. The first of its kind became operational in 1984, and now there are 20 fællesanlæg in Denmark. Each year deal with the around. 1.1 million. tons of manure and about. 350,000 tonnes of organic waste from industries, sewage treatment plants and households.
