Preparation for Paper-Based Testing The following guiding instructions apply to the administration for the FSA Grades 3 and 4 Reading & Math Diagnostic Assessments – Printing Pre-Gridded Diagnostic Answer Sheets – Scanning Diagnostic Answer Sheets – Reviewing Scanview Activity

Hard-Copy Test Booklets – will be delivered to schools by TDC staff Copier Paper for Printing Student Scan Sheets – will be delivered to schools by TDC staff – schools are to use the paper provided (Husky Digital) to print the student pre-gridded scan sheets from the PM ADMS system. Note** Elementary Schools will be able to print student scan sheets on October 1, Preparation for Paper-Based Testing

ACCESS TO PM ADMS District Portal – All District Employees MUST access via the Portal – Click on the PM ADMS tile OR Type in URL – adms.performancematters.com 2-Ways to Access PM ADMS using Google Chrome

HOW TO PRINT PRE-GRIDDED STUDENT SCAN SHEETS

All Student Scan Sheets will need to be printed at least one day prior to testing Process may be centrally completed by an administration designee (Performance Matters School View Level access required for printing the Fall Diagnostics for the entire school) Note** All pre-grid answer sheets are available for print on October 1, 2014 (Elementary schools should secure all pre-grid answer sheets awaiting scanning) How to Print Pre-Gridded Student Scan Sheets

Sheets will be printed on plain paper using the Ricoh copiers Sequential slides detail the process for printing pre-grid answer sheets (Teachers will only see their students assigned by Course/Section/Period if they print their class) How to Print Pre-Gridded Student Scan Sheets

Printing Tips verify printer is fully loaded with paper verify that printer is clear of all smudges verify the printer drivers are loaded on the computer make sure Adobe is downloaded on the computer with the following settings – page setting must be set to none – auto rotate must be off How to Print Pre-Gridded Student Scan Sheets

Student Pre-Gridded Scan Sheets are to be scanned to Performance Matters using the Ricoh Copier How to Scan Pre-Grid Student Scan Sheets

On the Ricoh Copier, Click the Scanner Button How to Scan Pre-Grid Student Scan Sheets

HOW TO VIEW THE STATUS OF THE STUDENT SCAN SHEETS THAT HAVE BEEN SCANNED

access the Scanview software a web-based tool used to review and troubleshoot all scanned sheets summary report that details recent activity within your school by an entire test, a particular test, or a single student make sure there are no errors in the scan batch file How to View the status of the student scan sheets that have been scanned

Errors may include – No Student ID Student did not bubble in some or all of Student ID number – Page is Blank Failed Processing Scan sheets were scanned upside down – All errors must be corrected in Scanview before the window closes How to View the status of the student scan sheets that have been scanned

To view on a single scan batch, Click on the scan batch link How to View the status of the student scan sheets that have been scanned

You can quickly identify the scan batch files that may have errors by clicking the box next to “Show only problem sheets” to show all scan batches that need to be corrected How to View the status of the student scan sheets that have been scanned

“FailedProcessing” means the sheets were scanned in upside down Rescan the sheets to correct the error

How to View the status of the student scan sheets that have been scanned “false b” means that the sheet did not include a Student ID number Click on the blue number in the first column to correct the student ID number
