David Thompson 27 th November 2011 Part 10 The Gospel – The Irrepressible Love of God Romans 8:27-39
Romans 8:31 What shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? How will he not also graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against us? Who is he that condemns? Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
Q1. If God is for us, who can be against us? Things that oppose you: The Devil The Flesh The World Person that works for you: GOD
Q2. Will he not also give us all things? Verse 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all – how will he not also, along we him, graciously give us all things?
“How do I know that God won’t change his mind about me, or stop loving me altogether?” God did not spare his own Son… …so he will definitely love you for eternity.
Q3. Who will bring any charge against you? Q4. Who is he that condemns? Verse Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.
Q5. Who shall separate you from the love of Christ? Trouble Hardship Persecution Famine Nakedness Danger Sword
I am more than a conqueror because… …I am absolutely joined to Christ …my future is glorious, guaranteed …I can say to the Devil “You can’t touch me!” …I can praise God in every circumstance …I am assured of God’s love for me
