Perez  Contacting your district‘s legislators and Governor Brown to talk about the Medi-Cal Expansion  Communication Strategies: Talking Points, Op-Eds, Letters to the Editor, and Social Media What we will cover today: 2

 California’s uninsured population under the age of 65 is 7.1 million as of  Many are employed but won’t get employer based coverage,  Or can’t afford coverage through the new market place, Covered California.  CCHI supports SB X1 1/AB X1 1 because passage is necessary to ensure the expansion takes place in time for January 1, 2014 so California’s uninsured population will be able to receive affordable health care coverage.  CCHI continues to push for a state-based expansion.
