Make an Introduction

Introduce Yourself Greeting: Good Morning, Hello, Hi State your name: I am ____ ____ or My name is ____ ____. State something about yourself that is appropriate to the situation: school, chapter, office, age

Example Hello, I am John Farmer from XYZ FFA Chapter.

Introduce Another Person Obtain information about the person to be introduced such as name, occupation, official title, why they are speaking today. Organize information in a similar way used to introduce yourself.

Example Good Morning, I would like to introduce Joe Tractor, he is the CEO of ABC Equipment Company. He is here to speak to us about the new innovations in the equipment industry.

Girls Official Attire Black skirt - Skirt is to be at least knee length, hemmed evenly across the bottom, with a slit no longer than 2 inches above the knee, excluding the kick pleat White collared blouse & Official FFA blue scarf Black dress shoes with a closed heel and toe (no boots, sandals, open-toed shoes, tennis shoes, ) Black nylon hosiery Official FFA jacket zipped to the top. Black Slacks may be appropriate for traveling and outdoor activities.

Boys Official Attire Black dress pants (no jeans - blue or black, leather, pleather, etc.) White dress shirt & Official FFA tie Black dress shoes with a closed heel and toe. (no boots, sandals, open-toed shoes, tennis shoes ) Black socks Official FFA jacket zipped to the top

How to Wear Awards Chapter degree, officer and award medals should be worn beneath the name of the right side of the jacket. State FFA Degree or American Degree key should be worn above the name or attached to a standard key chain. No more than 3 medals should be worn on the jacket. These should represent highest degree earned, highest office held and the highest award earned.

Factors of a Good First Impression Eye contact – look directly at the person Friendly and approachable Good handshake – firm not wimpy Well spoken and carry a conversation

Factors of a Bad First Impression Stares at ground or looks around Withdrawn – does not want to be around a lot of people Difficulty conversing Inappropriate behavior – dressing poorly, sloppy eating, loud voice
