Let’s have a look at something familiar. Telecommunication indicators for 2007 There are now more mobile phones than people in the UK.

The challenges of going mobile... Mobile phones need to move and so communication must be wireless. Mobile phones are mobile and that means we need to be able to find out where each one is currently located. Mobile phones are portable and that means they need to be battery powered. Mobile phones must not interfere with one another and that requires different frequencies. Mobile phones need to communicate with non-mobile phones and that requires them to be compatible with other services.

Let’s have a look at your mobile phone.... The principles of radio signal propagation (2.5GHz).
