Types of organisations (P3)

You need to show that you understand what the different types of travel and tourism organisation are. Complete the table from the information on the next slide You will also need to reprint the worksheet you did last year called “AO3 Organisations in travel and tourism”

Which is which? Sort these out into public, private and voluntary organisations. Write these onto your sheet Landowners National Trust and other charities Local authorities Entertainment providers Pressure groups Development companies Travel organisations/ travel agents UK regional development agencies Tourism Concern Hotel chains British tourist board English Heritage

Examples You now need to research the name of two specific examples for each type of travel and tourism organisation. E.g. Private- Thomas Cook; Public- Ashbourne Tourist Information office; Voluntary- National Trust You may be able to take some of the examples off the last slide but you will have to research your own.
