2nd ECML Professional Network Forum - Graz, 6 January Mission Statement The Conseil européen pour les langues/ European Language Council is a non profit-making association, registered under Belgian law. It aims to promote the study of languages and cultures, including intercultural communication, so as to encourage the multilingual and multicultural development of Europe and internationally. It does so by: Enhancing the quality of learning and teaching in higher education; Launching new research and development initiatives; Developing policies and strategies at institutional, national and European levels; Disseminating information on these matters. The CEL/ELC fosters cooperation in all areas of education between teachers, researchers, students, educational institutions, associations, private organisations, policy makers and other bodies which share its aims.
