Alessandro Romagnoli; Classe 4°b; Anno scolastico ; Saving water and energy in vine growing THE WATER IN WINE GROWING GENERAL OF THE VINEYARDS AND WATER- STRESS MICROIRRIGATION/FERTIGATION THE BENEFITS AND THE LIMITS OF MICROIRRIGATION/FERTIGATION OTHER METHODS OF IRRIGATION THE ENERGY USES IN VINE GROWING

Alessandro Romagnoli; Classe 4°b; Anno scolastico ; Saving water and energy in vine growing Water, in the cultivation of the vine, is mostly used for drip irrigation or for the use and application of fertilizers.

Alessandro Romagnoli; Classe 4°b; Anno scolastico ; Saving water and energy in vine growing.

The grower must take into serious consideration the irrigation management of the vineyard in order to improve the quality of the product. The vineyard, develops its vegetative cycle during the spring-summer period and is equipped with a relative tolerance to drought. When rainfall is scarce in these times, the vineyard frequently manifests signs of water stress. Alessandro Romagnoli; Classe 4°b; Anno scolastico ; Saving water and energy in vine growing.

For fertigation means the application of fertilizers or nutrients required for crop nutrition, along with water irrigation. This technique takes advantage of the irrigation system and / or micro- irrigation as a means of application of these essential elements. Alessandro Romagnoli; Classe 4°b; Anno scolastico ; Saving water and energy in vine growing.

The irrigation of vines achieved through the installation of micro-irrigation drip high uniformity, is a technically high-profile suitable for all growing areas and capable of satisfying the needs of both production and, especially, those qualities. Proper water return, commensurate with the minimum physiological needs of the vine, has a positive effect on the quality of musts and wines then. Alessandro Romagnoli; Classe 4°b; Anno scolastico ; Saving water and energy in vine growing.

1)Do not get wet vegetation avoiding fungal diseases. 2) You can distribute in limited doses of irrigation water soluble fertilizer with obvious technical and economic advantages. 3) With one liter for second, you can manage 4 hectares divided into 6 sectors. 4) Drip irrigation offers the possibility of a large daily time of use, also independent from conditions of strong wind. Alessandro Romagnoli; Classe 4°b; Anno scolastico ; Saving water and energy in vine growing.

The simplicity of the management of this irrigation system is a result of: -Careful initial planning -Ensure implementation With the use of products of proven quality, and of a continuous presence immediately after installation. Alessandro Romagnoli; Classe 4°b; Anno scolastico ; Saving water and energy in vine growing.

Are advised against other irrigation methods (method for sprinkling), as well as having the maximum probability of experiencing fungal diseases, there is a huge waste of water, and fertilization of the vine takes place in a separate way. Alessandro Romagnoli; Classe 4°b; Anno scolastico ; Saving water and energy in vine growing.

THE ENERGY USES IN WINE GROWING Alessandro Romagnoli; Classe 4°b; Anno scolastico ; Saving water and energy in vine growing Energy, in the cultivation of the vine, is exploited mainly by the tractor or by the harvester at the time of the grape harvest.

The grape harvest, can be done either through the use of the harvester(for parcels of at least 50 hectares) or through the use of a tractor with a wagon where the clusters are deposited. Alessandro Romagnoli; Classe 4°b; Anno scolastico ; Saving water and energy in vine growing.

grape harvest through the use of the tractor with the wagon for depositing the clusters(pict.4) Alessandro Romagnoli; Classe 4°b; Anno scolastico ; Saving water and energy in vine growing.

The expenditure of energy for the grape harvest, varies depending on the slope of the land where the vineyard is located. If the vineyard is located in the plains, energy expenditure will be lower compared to a vineyard on the hill (then pending). Alessandro Romagnoli; Classe 4°b; Anno scolastico ; Saving water and energy in vine growing.

grape harvest through the use of a grape harvester(pict. 5) Alessandro Romagnoli; Classe 4°b; Anno scolastico ; Saving water and energy in vine growing.

In the case of my school, there isn’t a very precise method of irrigation(because the climate of the Marche region offers regular rainfall), fertilizers are distributed through the use of a tractor separately, the grape harvest is carried out through the use of a tractor with the wagon, where it will be deposited the clusters. In conclusion we can say that in my school the waste of water is very low, while that of energy is slightly higher. Alessandro Romagnoli; Classe 4°b; Anno scolastico ; Saving water and energy in vine growing.
