Move Update Policy Definition Move Update Policy  Federal Register notice in development to establish within the DMM the reference to Pub 363 as source of Move Update compliance requirements  Responds to mailing industry desire for single, comprehensive source of procedures for Move Update compliance requirements for all Move Update methods  Follows other examples of defining mail preparation requirements in USPS Publications referenced through DMM

 Effective June 1 st, MLNA and BCNO months no longer graded as non-compliant with Move Update in MERLIN  Federal Register notice will be published advising MLNA / BCNO required to comply with Move Update  1 year grace period allowed from publication date of Federal Register to comply with requirement  After 1 year grace period MLNA / BCNO addresses between 95 days and 18 months will be graded as non- compliant – no exceptions considered regardless of Move Update method used  No reversal of previous postage assessments for mailings impacted due to MLNA / BCNO prior to June 1 st MLNA / BCNO Policy Modification Move Update Policy

 Suite Link usage increases the potential for mail to be sorted into delivery point sequence  4.4% of candidate records submitted to Suite Link provided updated secondary number ●103 million records in FY08 ●160 million records in FY09 Opportunity Suite Link™

 Suite Link is used whenever there is a secondary unit deficiency identified on an input business location address and Suite Link has data for the input address  For CASS Cycle N all CASS™/MASS™ certifications require the use of Suite Link to append suite numbers where match available  Effective August 1, 2011 usage required by mailers to assign a ZIP+4 Code to a business address where Suite Link indicates a match is available When is It Used? Suite Link™

Example of Match in Suite Link Input: UT Animal Research 910 Madison Ave Memphis TN Output:UT ANIMAL RESEARCH 910 MADISON AVE STE 823 MEMPHIS TN The input address matches to high-rise default record. DPV ® returns a “D” which indicates the secondary is missing. Software must query Suite Link.
