Final testing in 10Kv substation

Kentech perform the final megger testing of bus witnessed by electrical engineers from CTSD, SEIC and the switchgear vendor ABB. Next the transformer primary 6.6Kv circuit is megger tested at the CTSD powerstation.

After the cable is energised from the powerstation the circuit breaker used for the temporary feed is racked in.

After some small adjustments, the chief electrical engineer from CTSD closes the circuit breaker, energising the 10Kv bus at 3.30pm. The bus coupler was then closed energising the left hand bus also. With all testing completed, the circuit breaker from the powerstation was again opened and the bus powered down and Earthed. It is now officially classed as commissioned and ready for use!
