V2 - Information Technology Access Interfaces 3 Relevance to the work of WG1  The URC standards define a framework for the specification of user interfaces on top of existing networking platforms  URC framework is neutral to underlying networking platforms  For implementation on a particular networking platform, a binding between the user interface socket and the platform- specific elements needs to be defined  Currently working on bindings for UPnP DCPs  Other candidates: Java/Jini, CHAIN (CECED), Lonworks (Echelon) NOTE: Binding to WG1‘s home interoperability framework seems feasible. Interest in WG1 on a joint effort?
