Radio over Internet Protocol RoIP Radio over Internet Protocol

RoLP Presentation Slides 2017年4月11日星期二 What is RoIP? It is a solution to transmit the radio signal Over IP TCE RoIP System comprises of RoIP Gateway and Management Software. RoIP Gateway transforms the analog voice to digital data and vice visa.

TCE’s RoIP The RoIP Gateway equips with a technology that converts analog audio signals into a digital data transmitted through the Internet, WAN/LAN. At the receiving end, the digital encoded data will be decoded and converted back to analog audio and radio control signals. The analog audio is encoded with a standard audio codec, such as G.711, G,723, etc. The digital encoded data are packed into UDP (User Datagram Protocol) or TCP (Transfer Connection Protocol) or a similar transport layer protocol for transport over the IP Network.

Features Of RoIP Gateway Model: RIPG-0100 . Integrates the radio networks at different locations, with different frequencies into one network. . Supports live radio voice recording in PC up to 30 sites. . Works with any standard WAN/LAN networks supporting DHCP network. . Compatible to all mobile or portable radios with PTT, COR, Audio In & Audio Out. . Designed for harsh environments and no computer is required at site.

Features Of Advanced Model? Model: RIPG-0200 Remotely control up to 15 Frequency Channels in each mobile/base radio. With the built in VOX function, it is compatible with any radio that has PTT, Audio In & Audio Out. The new built in voice GAIN improves the voice/audio quality. Broadcast to ALL, (in the connected gateways) by just One-Click from PC.

Features of Integrated Model Model: RIPG-0300 It is a basic repeater interface It is ROIP gateway with RJ45 connector It is equipped with radio signal strength comparison. The packet data rate is 8kpcs

RoIP Gateway CDR700 Interface Original CDR700 Exchange with RoIP Interface It becomes a repeater with IP Site Connect Capable Cellular Infrastructure - - Cellular Infrastructure - - Cellular Infrastructure

RoIP Gateway CDR700 Interface Multi-Site for Wide Area Coverage RX=F1 TX=F2 RX=F1 TX=F2 Deploy the Repeaters Equip the Frequencies for them RX=F1 TX=F3 RX=F1 TX=F4 RX=F1 TX=F4 RX=F1 TX=F2 Link All of them by IP RX=F1 TX=F3 RX=F1 TX=F3 Cellular Infrastructure - - Cellular Infrastructure - - Cellular Infrastructure

RoIP Gateway CDR700 Interface Multi-Site for Wide Area Coverage RX=F1 TX=F2 RX=F1 TX=F2 The Radio can PTT anywhere The Radio can receive anywhere Even the Radio is roaming RX=F1 TX=F3 Set Auto Channel Scanning Channel 2 TX-F1 RX=F3 Channel 3 TX-F1 RX=F4 Channel 1 TX-F1 RX=F2 Configure the Radios RX=F1 TX=F4 RX=F1 TX=F4 RX=F1 TX=F2 RX=F1 TX=F3 RX=F1 TX=F3 Cellular Infrastructure - - Cellular Infrastructure - - Cellular Infrastructure

RoIP Gateway CDR700 Interface Single-Site for Two-Way Communication Deploy A Repeater with High Transmit Power 40W All of Radios can receive For this case, Downlink communication is No Problem It can not talk back to the repeater It’s Transmit Power: Only 4 or 5W But for the portable Radio.. RoIP Gateway CDR700 Interface Single-Site for Two-Way Communication Deploy A Repeater with High Transmit Power 40W The satellite receiver will send the signal to the repeater And link them to main repeater by IP Deploy the satellite receivers Then the radio PTT The solution is… Cellular Infrastructure - - Cellular Infrastructure - - Cellular Infrastructure

Advantages of RoIP 1. Bridging radio networks over long distance 2. Extend the Communication Range Individual radio networks will be linked by the gateway regardless of the distance. Replace the cumbersome and costly repeater links. Remote access to the radio networks by PC from anywhere part of the world.

Advantages of RoIP 3, Bridging networks across frequency band Integrates the radio networks operating with different frequencies. E.g. : Marine VHF radios to Air-band radios UHF radios to VHF radios, etc. Integrates radio networks operating in different protocol. E.g. : Digital radio to Analog radios – MOTOTRBO to GP/GM Integrates radio networks operating in different modes. E.g. : Conventional system to Trunking system – GP328 to Iden, etc.

Benefits of RoIP Cost Effective : Easy Deployment Expandable interface affordable hardware minimum installation work less maintenance service Easy Deployment Expandable interface E.g. : phone patch User Friendly Software

RoIP Application (1) cross frequency link Air-band radio network <---> Land UHF/VHF network Marine VHF <---> HF SSB or on board UHF Amateur CB Radio/Ham <----> Professional VHF/UHF radio 800Mhz Smartnet/Smartzone System <----> 400Mhz Tetra System

RoIP Application (2) Cross System Example: Conventional System to MPT1327 analog Trunking Conventional System to Smartnet/Smartzone Trunking Conventional System to LTR Trunking Conventional System to Tetra Digital System Smartnet to Tetra Analog System to Digital System Conventional, Analog Trunking and Digital Trunking RoIP Application (2)

Live Voice Recording RoIP Application (3)

RoIP Application (4) Remote Channel Selection – Model RoIPG-0200 Even when the base station or repeater is located far away, one can still switch the channel via RoIP from within the control room. When there are a lot of talk groups on different channels, the operator can switch the channel to the desired channel via RoIP gateway and software (e.g. : port operator, transportation company, hotel management). RoIP Application (4)

RoLP Presentation Slides 2017年4月11日星期二 RoIP Application (5) Movable Repeater system (MRS) By integrating a repeater and a Radio IP Gateway in a vehicle, the MRS is a instant solution for quick deployment requirements. MRS uses the broadband connectivity from the cellular 3G (HSDPA) or VSAT to achieve its mobility. MRS is the best solution for natural disaster rescue, army training, VIP security and other important movable actions.
