Objectives Broad Objective  The overall objective of this study is to Manage Plant Parasitic Nematodes through use of a Fungicide as an alternative to more Toxic Nematicides currently in use in roses

Specific Objectives  To find out the extent of nematode infestation in different rose varieties and the variability in nematodes population that infest roses in different flower growing regions.  To determine efficacy of Tecto (Thiabendazole) through invitro culture and invivo in the control of plant Parasitic Nematodes and the effect on yield  To establish the longevity of the effect a fungicide Tecto (Thiabendazole)

 To find out the extent of nematode infestation in different rose varieties and the variability in nematodes population that infest roses in different flower growing regions.  Progress Survey – Administering of questionnaire. Have administered to 10 out of the 54 Farms.

Invitro culture test scheduled to start in 2 weeks time. Egg masses to be collected from the field and hatched in the laboratory to obtain the J2 stages. The J2 stage will be then used for the study. Field Trial will follow after the completion of the invitro test.
