IRIS-ADVANCED > User should view the IRIS-SIMPLE and BASIC tutorials first

PURPOSE Provide a rating interface/invoice template for use in various industries including transportation/logistics, home businesses or any industry requiring a simplified, rating/invoicing method. >

Sample Ratesheet > This sample ratesheet is formatted differently than the ratesheet shown with IRIS-BASIC. Whereas IRIS-BASIC showed rates in a continuous row format, IRIS-ADVANCED works with a ratesheet format that has rates listed as an unique product per row with multiple fees/charges/rates per column. Notice the unique Product ID, yet each product has the same rate categories but with potentially different rates per product. Rate categories

Configuring for Advanced Format > It is assumed that the user has input the source ratesheet/Workbook pathway into cell M1 as per the IRIS-BASIC tutorial. But the actual ratesheet name for IRIS-ADVANCED should be input into cell L14 instead of M2. This allows for the use of both the IRIS-BASIC and IRIS-ADVANCED formats together (See slide 8 – Extras). This is the header row of the ratesheet (see slide 4 for example)

Indicating which lines to process > Each cell of the Interface that you want to populate with data from the source ratesheet is indicated here In this column, you indicate the actual header text from the source ratesheet (you can also use header letters) In this column, you can indicate default text to populate the Interface cells. For example cell d23 will populate with the text “pcs” which is the basis for this line.

> How to Use Set up the search headers, which should be the same as any column headers on the source ratesheet. You can have up to 4 different search headers. The first criteria line must be exact match. The next 3 can be partial matches Press the SEARCH button (rather than Calculate link) and if you are doing a partial search you will see a popup box. Select the data you want to populate to the Interface.

EXTRAS > In this example, everything under the yellow row is what is populated when the CALCULATE button is used AFTER the SEARCH method. The yellow line is only for demonstration and will not actually appear. You can use IRIS-ADVANCED in a manner to show rates as demonstrated and then use the CALCULATE link to append “surcharges” to the displayed rates. (See IRIS-BASIC tutorial)
