Second Step: Skills for Social and Academic Success Goals for Completion (Pre-K: Early Learning) Unit 1: Skills for Learning (September & October) Unit 2: Empathy (November & December) Unit 3: Emotion Management (January & February) Unit 4: Friendship Skills & Problem Solving (March & April) Unit 5: Transitioning to Kindergarten (May) * Goal is to teach and document at least 4 lessons per unit. (Two lessons for unit 5) Other resources may be used to teach these skills as well and may be added to your documentation sheet. Here is the link to a grade level appropriate book list: Documentation is due at the end of the month according to this chart.
