Expanding the Formula Bar Click on the Collapse Formula Bar. Drag the border of the Formula Bar to increase or decrease the size of the Bar. Click on the Expand Formula Bar icon in the far right side of the Formula Bar

The Formulas Tab The Formulas tab contains all the commands that you need to help you build, analyse and manage formulas within your worksheet.

The Insert Function Button The Insert Function Button can be used to access the Insert Function dialog box which you can use to build any formula using functions and the help instructions provided.

Using the Formulas Tab Select the cell to contain the new formula Click on the Formulas tab on the Ribbon. Click on an appropriate button in the Formula Library group.

Using Names in Formulas  You can use Names within formulas to refer to a cell or cell range within a worksheet/workbook.  Excel includes a Name Manager feature that will help you to sort and filter the list of names, and easily add, change, or delete names from one location.

Using Names in Formulas 1 Select the cells to be named 2 Click on the Defined Names button 3 Specify the appropriate options and then click [OK]

Using the Watch Window When cells are not visible on a worksheet, you can watch those cells and their formulas in the Watch Window toolbar.
