Conclusion Explanation for each cards chosen: Cisco 4-Port OC-3 POS SPA We decided to choose this card over the others available because it supports four OC-3 ports in a half card and we will have available ports for future expansions. Cisco 4-Port Channelized T3 SPA For this type of connection we decided to go with 4 ports for future expansion and we only had two options: the 4-port channelized T3 SPA and 4-port clear channel T3/E3 SPA We chose the 4-port channelized because the it is unnecessary to have support for E3 ports (E3 ports are used in European countries). Cisco Express Forwarding /100/1000 Interface Module This card supports the remaining requirements for this project, and leave 8 empty ports for future expansion. 8 T1 Ethernets -- twisted pair Cat baseT networks baseT uplinks to The Internet
