What advantages are produced in an athlete taking growth factors? What are the health risks of taking anabolic steriods? Why are these substances banned from sport? What are the ethical arguments?

What advantages are produced in an athlete taking growth factors? Anabolic steroids are similar to the hormone testosterone. The effects are similar to those seen in puberty changes.

What are the health risks of taking anabolic steroids? Side effects include: –Liver damage  failure –Facial hair growth (in ladies!) –Voice becomes deeper (in ladies!) –Impotence, shrinking testes, breast development (in gentlemen!) Enlarged organs  heart.
