Good Food Good Mood COMENIUS Multilateral school partnerships GB1-COM By Ferranti & Scognamiglio

Herds of animals (mainly cattle) produce 50% of CO2. ( From data of the World Watch Institute)

CO2 emissions by animals are related to : the breeding food chain (refrigeration, processing, baking) deforestation

One reason why pollution by cattle has increased. is the largest beef consumption over the last 50 years

Beef was consumed as early as the Neolithic period, and in this period there are the first signs of animal breeding

Throughout our history the kind of meat that has been consumed is mainly related to cattle (beef). It was not until the time of the Romans that all kinds of meat were introduced onto the tables.

Another cause of the increase in meat consumption is the increasing fashion of fast food, such as McDonald's and Burger King (taken as examples of the best known), where they have a policy of quantity at a low price.

Thank you!
