Significant results/highlights during the first year project O m Data Management and Data Access Real Time (parameters): CTD profiles Delayed Mode (parameters): BGC sampling, particles abundance, currents Key persons involved data management for your time-series: D. Lefevre (CNRS), N. Bhairy (CNRS), D. Malengros (CNRS), L. Fleury (CNRS). T. Carval (Ifremer) WP 2 / WP3 – Technological & Procedural Harmonisation Task 2.1:Review of the current status of all fixed observing sites Task 3.1: Assessment of procedures

Pre-deployment (procedures in short) Design issues: no Maintenance/service issues (periodic/after failure) Calibration issues: no Preparations: mooring, battery, … Equipment: new SBE37 inductive sensors and inductive Aquadopp sensor for the new mooring WP 2 / WP3 – Technological & Procedural Harmonisation Task 2.1:Review of the current status of all fixed observing sites Task 3.1: Assessment of procedures Operating Scheme/Schematic (with time intervals) IL13 and IL12, deployed since 2007 and 2010 respectively. ALBATROSS-MEUST line deployed in September 2014 RV Tethys II (standalone now) On the field: one year deployment. Next maintenance in April 2015

ANTARES – MEUST (West Ligurian) News: An experimental instrumented inductive line has been moored last september. 5 depths are instrumented between 1500 and 2450 m. Delayed mode so far. P T S O2, currents

WP 2 / WP3 – Technological & Procedural Harmonisation Task 2.1:Review of the current status of all fixed observing sites Task 3.1: Assessment of procedures Deployment (procedures in short) Means (R/V, ship?, divers, ROV?): R/V Tethys II (CNRS) Maintenance on board: no Testing/Validation: SBE37 ODO, acoustic releaser Deployment procedures: data transfer, CTD profiler calibration (30min, 1000m), sensors cleaning, battery change, trap samples collection, pictures, … Issues: Navy/NATO authorization (zonex)

ANTARES – MEUST (West Ligurian) Simplified electrical connector News: An Aanderaa Oxygen optode has been connected to the ANTARES BJS on October 11th It will be replaced by several TNA sensors, if TNA on this observatory is accepted. Data (Dissolved oxygen and temperature) will be redirected to CORIOLIS Center ( ) during the coming months.

WP 3 – Procedural Harmonisation Task 3.1: Assessment of procedures Deployment (procedures in short): ANTARES-GEOPHYSICS Seismometer in place since novembre No intervention since that time Means : ROV, Antares BJS Maintenance on board Testing/Validation Deployment procedures : should be buried and covered, oriented, levelled and then connected. etc

WP 3 – Procedural Harmonisation Task 3.1: Assessment of procedures On the field (procedures in short): ANTARES-GEOPHYSICS Data transfer : by ethernet and seedlink protocol. data are distributed in quasi real time on (station code : ASEAF, network code: FR) Surveys : no Emergencies : in case of cut of the power at Antares. BJS powering should be manually restarted. Data post processing : quality check, mainly on the sample datation, metadata prepared at Géoazur Real time data flow integrated for automatic earthquakes analysis ( in SE France.
